Mount Kilimanjaro Challenge in aid of Headway Belfast

Michael Heaney will swap Donaghdee for the African plains to climb the highest freestanding mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro.  Michael hopes to raise approximately £4,000 by taking part in the Mount Kilimanjaro Trek.  Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain on the African continent at 5.896m.  Michael will climb the mountain to support Headway Belfast deliver vital services to survivors of Acquired Brain Injury.

Headway Belfast are delighted that Michael Heaney is giving his time to support the charity.  As estimated 2000 people present with head injuries every year in Northern Ireland.  There are many possible causes including falls, road traffic accidents, assaults, brain infections, tumours and stroke.

As a charity, Headway Belast rely on the generosity of individuals like Michael to help us continue our vital work.
